Ocean's Edge is a beautiful luxury home located at the West end of Galveston in the Summer Shores custom home section of Pointe West. Perfect for a family vacation or a peaceful getaway, this home is designed to be a relaxing retreat for all!
Custom designed to maximize every view, there are 5 expansive decks all furnished to allow for perfect views of the sunrise and sunset. The ground level is equipped with a propane grill and a charcoal grill. There are hammocks, seating and lounge chairs as well. The yard, enclosed by a white picket fence, makes for a great outdoor play space for children and adults.
Inside the house there is a large dining table (which seats 10-14) and several areas for entertaining throughout the house. The main living room, dining room, and kitchen are a large open space, which is perfect for hosting large groups. There is a direct vent fireplace and a large outdoor deck with several seating areas (and expandable outdoor dining table). Every entertaining room and bedroom has a wall mounted flat screen TV with Direct TV and Netflix. On the main living level, Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and a bathroom with a walk in shower. Bedroom 2 also has a king bed. Bath 2 is attached to bedroom 2 and has a tub/shower combo.
On level 2, there is a spacious bunk room with full beds on the bottom (with extra headroom for adults' comfort) and twin beds on top. The bunk room connects to a roomy bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a double vanity. The large Master bedroom has a king bed and expansive master bathroom with a large walk in shower and free standing tub. A sliding door connects to the deck with chaise lounge chairs.
The Flex Room ( Bedroom 5) is designed with a built in Queen Murphy Bed which can easily pull out from the wall. The room also has a sleeper sofa and chairs and a 70" flatscreen TV, making this room not only a bedroom, but an extra room for TV viewing and entertaining. There is a drop leaf table and a wide variety of games, puzzles, and books. It shares a bathroom with the Bunk Room. A sliding door connects to the large deck, which hosts a circular convertible chair perfect for napping or reading while enjoying the ocean view.
The top floor Cupola has a sofa and comfortable swivel club chairs to capture the panoramic view. The deck provides gorgeous views of the ocean and the bay. This room also has an X Box and WII with games.
Pointe West is a 60 minute drive from Houston Hobby Airport and a 90 minute drive from Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). Ocean's Edge has the advantage of being on a large, more secluded beach. Pointe West spans between the Beach and Bay side of Galveston. The main Beach Club has a large infinity edge pool, hot tub, and baby pool. The Pointe restaurant (seasonal hours) serves delicious lunch, dinner and has an upstairs bar which frequently has live entertainment. There is a gift shop, game room, and work out room also available for guests. The Sunset pool on the bay side has a small lazy river pool, attached pool, and hot tub. There are grills available for renters at the Beach Club and Sunset Pool.
The Beach Club charges $25 per person per stay for ages 4 and up for use of the pool and amenities. Max number of wristbands allowed per stay are 12 total.
